Berlin Brandenburg Airport has its own railway station and is therefore easily accessible by public transport. Flughafen BER Terminal 1-2 Bahnhof is located under Terminal 1 at a maximum 5-minute walk from Terminal 1 Arrivals and Terminal 2 Arrivals. From here, trains run to the capital of Germany. It is also possible to travel to the city centre by Intercity train and S-Bahn S9, however the Intercity runs not as often and S-Bahn S9 takes 15 to 20 minutes more to Alexanderplatz and Berlin Hauptbahnhof. The journey time from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Berlin Hauptbahnhof is 28 to 41 minutes, depending on which train you take. From 2025, the FEX Airport-Express will run to Berlin Hbf via Südkreuz and Potsdamer Platz, reducing travel time to just 20 minutes. The price for a ticket (Einzelfahrausweis Berlin ABC, valid for 120 minutes) is € 4.00 for adults and € 2.90 for children from 6 up to 14 years.
